An 18C Oil on canvas of Louis XV's Daughter.  School of Nattier, probably by Jean Marc Nattier (1685-1766).  Painted "en situ"  The Princess Royal with a Putto; cutting flowers to be arranged in garlands and vases.  She's wearing a blue gown and garland in a slightly later frame.  (some restoration)

A Berlin (K.P.M.) Portrait Plaque of a little boy and his Saint Bernard in a landscape.  Late19th C, in a later frame.  Impressed scepter and KPM mark, impressed 255 X 193 and incised with a triangle.  Linen matte and gilt-wood frame.

Extremely fine quality and rare subject matter; the attention to realistic detail (the reddened fingers, blushed cheeks, dog fur) is truly remarkable!  The boy is wearing a lacy shirt and black velvet suit, his left hand resting on the shoulder of the alert dog recumbent at his left.
