Green tourmaline
The tourmaline is a unique miracle of color. The gemstone comes
in green, red, blue, and yellow, but there are also colorless
specimens as well as black ones. Two or more colors may be found in
a single tourmaline crystal. Green is regarded as the
classical tourmaline color.
There is a broad spectrum of of green tourmaline. Some of them
are very light, others are so dark that the green color can only be
recognized when holding the stone against light. There
are green tourmalines with intense yellowish-green, olive green and
brownish-green nuances. There are incredible tourmalines in
the range from blue-green to dark bottle-green. These, indeed, are
its best colors. They are rare and much sought-after. Green
tourmalines are very popular as precious stones for women and men
alike.
